Sets is an ongoing work of exploring motion in relation to different visual stimuli. I create and use sets in the studio to restage performances by other artists, getting a perspective on their movement from a different angle and in relation to its visual impact. I am interested in creating a library of both sets and performances that can be paired in various couplings. This is a way for me to sustain an everyday studio practice and build an archive to draw on in future work.

Inside/Outside Run with Day Set

Day set began as a “virtual” space to explore actions performed in the “real” world. Inside/Outside Run explores awkward synchronicity, imperfect mirrors, compressed perspectives and collapsed time.
