Complete redesign of an Interior In Hydra Including built In lounging and storage area and expanded kitchen space.
Summer 2022
Plans and sections are copied from K+N Residence by Valerio Olgiati to create a digital model. The mass of the model is then separated into seven unique parts bilaterally. A paper model is built using these parts, which are then taken apart and altered. One part is expanded to create an elongated corridor, remaining parts intersect it vertically creating rooms. The new mass is modeled and new plans/sections are created for the realization of a maximalist building of recomposed minimalist parts.
Spring 2018
Picasso’s Three Musicians is analyzed structurally and compositionally. Construction lines are extended through each visible edge forming a secondary structure. The main compositional elements of the painting are retained while altering formal relationships along the construction lines. A black and white composition separates figure from ground, followed by a composition in three tones and a color study. Plans are drawn from iterations of these studies and then extruded in a series of axonometric hand drawings. A section is cut and a facade is proposed. The result is a programles structure exploring the hypothetical depth of the painting.
