Sets is an ongoing exploration of motion in relation to different visual stimuli. I create and use sets in the studio to restage performances by other artists, getting a perspective on their movement from a different angle and in relation to its visual impact. I am interested in creating a library of both sets and performances that can be paired in various couplings. This is a way for me to sustain an everyday studio practice and build an archive to draw on in future work.
Recently I’ve been exploring the work of Simone Forti.

Digital Stills
Alphabet Moon is an unedited digital video of the moon and its reflection taken while performing rapid gestures with my wrists. I’m interested in the large impact of small movements as well as the lag time between an object and its copy. Stills from the video are expanded on in Alphabet Moon/Night Set.
Alphabet MoonVideo Duration 10 minutes 24 seconds
When exhibited on a phone, installation photos create a second doubling and a new script.
